A Squier Bullet Mustang. I couldn’t pass it up at £70. Looks to be in pretty rough shape but so am I.

I ordered a conductive labs midi router thing.

I'm controlling NI Maschine, a Liven Texture Lab, Arturia Mini Brute, Nord Electro, and Korg Vocoder and Volca FM with a single Midi Keyboard and it's been a bit of a nightmare. hopefully this think will help.

I have this flat-top electric guitar made in a guy's garden shed that's mostly great, although since it was effectively one of his prototypes it has a few bugs.

Prominent on the bug list is that it has an adjustable wooden bridge also made in the guy's garden shed which (a) isn't cut very capably, and (b) can't receive the mounting plate for my Fishman midi pickup.

Because it's a flat-top, and most bridges of this style have a carved base, on the reasonable assumption you intend to install them on a archtop jazz box of some kind, I was happy to discover that Graph Tech make a 'resomax' bridge with a kinda-flexible-it-says-here base. And the height pins are set to standardish tun-o-matic breadth, so it should take the Fishman plate too. Gets here tomorrow. Tune in for me discovering it doesn't work and deciding to buy a used archtop to make good on the £37 loss.

I've got a bunch of parts and components coming in. Mouser, Digikey, Newark, Jameco...'cause none of them has everything needed for a single project...Not exactly saving any money over buying new toys, but trying to address my sanity by pivoting back to existing incomplete projects instead of adding new ones to the pile.

It's here and it fits beautifully and it sounds really good. And I can bend a tone on the B string without writing that the bridge is going to skid sideways. It is a very fine solution to a problem almost nobody has.

This thing is awesome and if you use a lot of midi with multiple controllers and such... get one. They make a bigger 8X8 one as well.

I just got one of those Donner Harmonic Square red pedals (a digital octave/pitchshifter) since it was only $40, and I figured I could return it if the latency or anything else was a problem. So far, I like it. I'd intended to use it with percussion, but when I tested it with guitar with octave-up and dry signal both at 100% I immediately got stuck in a Byrds hole for a couple hours.
I'd like to be able to swap a momentary pushbutton switch in for the regular stay-on/off one, but that might be tough considering (a) it's probably in a tiny board inside here and (b) I have no basic skills.
No regrets
