You don't think Obama's policies are better than McCains? Really? McCain will have us in fucking Iran before you go to bed on election night. Obama would be way better than McCain. The scary thing is, even with Obama's "rock star appeal", McCain probably has a chance of winning in the same way that Bush did,
twice. If you don't care which one of those two guys will be in control of your country for the next 4 years, then you're an idiot. Like I said, you might as well stay home and play X-box, because voting for Nader is letting all the people voting for Obama or McCain vote for who is gonna be your president. You have no say in it whether you vote for Nader, or stay home and jerk off. You're gonna get the same result either way. Fuck Ralph Nader. You might as well vote for
John Stossel from 20/20, he's got almost as much experience in government as Nader does.
I've never said McCain's policies are better than Obama's, What I said was whoever you vote for, A or B, directly supports their policies and decisions, not only counters candidate C. Take that shit into account. My point is, I vote based on what these politicians have as their platform, not some desperate plan to counter some 71 year old.
BadComrade wrote:Well what else is a Nader vote good for? Seriously? You know that he's not gonna win by popular vote, so what are those votes for him good for? The only thing they're good for is for people like you to say "Hey, look at me! I voted for Nader! I'm 1 of that number of voters!!!" That'll be real cool to say if McCain's in office...
What does your vote amount to? "Obama, he's, like, only 46, and compared to McCain, he's awesome". Do you give a shit about his platform, or is it that you vote based on "Anybody but McCain?"
BadComrade wrote:The popular vote wins the election... Someone like Obama is popular with people, because he'll probably be good for the country. If you don't realize that, then you're the one there's no help for. Go ahead, vote for Nader, and let McCain win. You're what, 20 or so? Just imagine: McCain gets in to office, decides to send a "surge" in to Iran (they're having some fun with their nuclear program right now... just got the centrifuges up and running the other day, you know...), and:

Did the popular vote win the 2000 election? No. You see this so simply it's ridiculous.
I couldn't care less how people view him, or how popular he is, I vote based on my political beliefs, and who I would like to see as president. I don't want to see Obama become president, nor Clinton, and definitely not McCain.
If McCain were to win, and reinstate the draft, I wouldn't serve, I'd file for Conscientious Objector, or at worst, leave the country.
