I have much against those who apparently are training musical notation to attack me, as evidenced by the incriminating footage of these lads during a training session smuggled to the public through mysterious channels like "MTV"
And people get scared by those al-Qaeda training videos.
I am training rigorously for the inevitable onslaught.

i liked this band. i've enjoyed pretty much every record of theirs, even plans. gibbard has some cute clever lyrics, the band always sounds nice and they are catchy in a non-grating way. very easy to like and fun to sing along to. but they've lost the plot with this last album. it is a steaming pile. lyrics are fucking horrendous. anti, i am very anti.

Death Cab for Cutie are an ideal example of how something can be so mediocre it's offensive. At least, for me personally.

i find the "so mediocre it's offensive" thing to be one of the worst kinds of offensive. terrible. i have roommates that listen to this kind of garbage and it drives me fucking crazy. this, bright eyes, other similarly "quiet, sensitive, uber indie" shit can go to hell.
