Bottomless Pit tour dates, unfortunately nowhere near where I can see them. John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats has lavished praise on the 'Pit, who will be playing with them in Texas. I mean, who wants to drive all the way to godfursaken Texas?

This "Angry Swan" song sounds super fucked up to me.

It is sort of like an R&B track played by Eric Clapton who then realizes he's lame half way through, so he tries to go back to the one or two songs he played in Cream that were pretty good.

Fish Eyes is a motherfucking song.

I don't know what it is, but this album just grew and grew on me. I don't know how to describe it other than as "really, really good sincere rock".

I finally bought the record at the show Thursday. It's fucking gorgeous. I miss "Winterwind," though.

I managed to capture the Pit playing 'The Cardinal Movements' in Paris. I've upped it to Youtube here. Please click 'Watch in High Quality' otherwise the visual and audio level is a bit poop.

Unfortunately I was at the very front of the stage so I could scarcely see Wig or Brian. I was not deliberately ignoring them it's just that the stage was just too high! I was also just in front of Tim's monitors so he is a bit louder in the mix. Still not bad for a regular digital camera.

In Paris the Pit had these completely amazing shirts. It's green with a flash of silver on the front and the name of the band in that fake-Farsi looking script. I've only had it a day or so and a bunch of people who have never heard of BP have asked me where they can get one. I'll post a photo later but suffice to say you are going to want one.
