I love the Flaming Lips, but that is a dumb name...

I like the following bands, and their names are just fine:

Polvo
Slint
Bottomless Pit
Shellac

These all seem fine.

I agree that Brainiac is iffy. I'm on the fence about the name.

there is only one clear path and it's paved with bacon.

I have never liked the name "Built To Spill".

I have never really liked "Jane's Addiction" even though I am an age-old fan.

I have thoroughly loathed the name "Inspiral Carpets" but they are so-so musically.

It's like you put everything into a bottle inside itself.
