On a related note, I've always wanted to see Letterman interview Steve.

This is my third favorite Shellac record.

Something isn't doing it for me. It's a good record, but as far as Shellac goes and what I've come to know and love about them I'm a little disappointed in EIG.

you should try downloading it. the digital encoding reeally makes osme of the tones come out.

I love all the hiss under the vocal solo in lullabelle. all that quiet, whining "keeeeeeeeeee--keeeeeeeee--chchchchchchc-keeeeeeeeee" under the vox, really gives it an edge.

I already tried that.

I even downloaded it, emailed it to myself, posted it on the EA gmail account, redownloaded it from there, burned it to minidisc, recorded it with protools, remixed it, burned it to CD, and then put it on my Ipod using a different computer and still...

I didnt download this record. I didnt read much about it. I assumed every Shellac record was relatively the same...my favorite being At Action Park. I waited patiently until it came out and promptly purchased it from my favorite record store.

This record is fantastic. Its still Shellac but with all this other stuff i would never expect from them. I love this record.

"The End Of Radio" is fucking sublime, maybe the best Shellac track to date. "Genuine Lulabelle" wanders a bit too much for my taste, and hearing Strongbad and the Movie Trailer Guy kinda threw me off the first couple of plays. The rest of the album ranges from Very Good to Excellent ... overall, it's an brilliant record, superb ensemble playing, and let me say if Todd Trainer were willing to become my mentor, I would gladly follow his teachings (check out the Brick Layer Cake clips on the T&G 25 site for further conformation of his genius). Great stuff. Congrats and thanks for the fine fine music, Shellac and all who sail with her!

When I went to get a copy, this guy barges in front of me as I'm walking towards the cashier and drops a massive stack of used records and yells "You got dat nu SHALLECK?" The cashier girl says, "yes it is right on that wall." The guy turns to me, pauses, then yells to his fat fucking girlfriend, "go get that one." She obeys, he pays with a check for all this bullshit jazz, funk, and moderate rock crap, and all in all it takes forever.

Proof #68: SHELLAC FANS ARE FUCKING ASSHOLES.

Is that Todd's dog featured on the cover?
