I would say that the general quality of the forums has taken a turn for the worse mostly due to the influx of several obsessive compulsive posters. These are people who have apparently chosen EA as their forum of joy, and lurk on it all day long, posting obsessively and vociferously even if they have nothing to say. And when they've posted something on all the threads, and no one has replied to any of their posts yet, they start a new bullshit thread that no one cares about except these other spamming posters.

You know exactly who these people are. They've got recent join dates (say late 2006 to early 2007), but they're already well into the thousands (and thousands) of posts. They're averaging like 15-30 posts a day. Most of it crap.

I still read EA, but damn if wading through all the bullshit posts doesn't wear one out. So much so that I hardly post anymore. The ratio of quality threads to bullshit threads used to be something like 4:1 when I first started reading the forums, and now I would say that ratio has reversed itself. Bullshit 4:1 Quality.

...AND Electrical has Pro-Tools now.

Now, if you'll pardon me, I have to go rent some ice skates to some creature from the ninth plane of Hell.

to the one guy: we all get to feeling the place has turned to shit from time to time.

it never really does. sometimes there are just more threads we don't care about so there are more posts we don't really care to be reading. or, we're just tired of petty arguments and the pointlessness of the majority of what actually goes on here.

it pretty much stays the same, except when a troll wanders in and makes a mess.


to the other guy: i'm still not telling you what i think of you, because why the fuck should it matter. people will treat you how they do and live with it or don't. just like you'll be who you are and we'll live with you or not.

there may be a hit squad on the way. i didn't send it b/c i don't particularly care about you at all.

oops, now you know. shit. it's not to say i won't care about you, you're a poster i've had limited interaction with, and most everyone on here is some kind of asshole. you're not out of the ordinary or special here, sorry.

My reason for starting this thread was that just like some folks have trouble reading me I have trouble reading them as well ( communication can be difficult when conversational language is used without the beneficial cues of inflection or body language and "smiley's" don't really do the trick). I was starting to get the impression that I was not welcome here and if that was truly the case I would split. I know I can be a loudmouth and if my presence here only serves to antagonize people ..I don't want to be that guy and I would gladly fuck off. This is a community of sorts and if enough people felt that I was not contributing positively to it the decent thing for me to do would be to abandon it or adjust my interactions so that I can positively contribute. Not crying for attention but simply wanted to know if I am welcome in the community. I am getting from the responses that my toxicity is nearly on par with everybody else but I could probably stand to choose my words a little more diplomatically.

I think that what puts people against you is, uh, let's call it the general attitude (as we can see on the attached picture) of let's say starting a thread to discuss whether and why not people like/understand/respect/whatever you (and calling said thread "who hates me?" c'mon!), rather responding in the threads when the offense has happened, or sending a PM. As for being a loudmouth, rude, or antagonizing people this is almost a standard here.


I really think we should stick to the bike talk.
