Who is Zoroger parodying?I got invited to join a casual band as second guitar and keyboard player and we had a go on Wednesday night. I took the Poly-800 with me. I also decided to take full advantage of the Poly's unique peculiarities and loaded it up with batteries.It can't be overstated how great it being able to run the keyboard without any power supply. Just a jack plug like a guitar, no worries about kicking the power out. And yup, I put a guitar strap on it too. I can play it keytar style or stick it on the stand, back and forth or whatever, easy. This is rock & roll, I'd rather not have to stand behind a piece of furniture. I can treat it exactly like a guitar.The Poly-800 might not be anyone's first choice as a studio instrument but it's great if you want to play in a new wave band. As an instrument, I think its utility is easily worth four or five hundred dollars, if you let go of the expectation that you "should" be able to get it cheaper. Like a mid-low-priced guitar.
