Peavey solid state sold it
Crate solid state sold it
65 twin reverb reissue sold it bass farts and treble hurts
smf 15 watter kept it clean channel fat & thick, distortion matchlessy
kjl dirty 30 kept it voxy/jtm45
weber 6m36 kept it vox/18 watt marshall

I am pretty sure now that I like voxy/marshall sounds. It took me 8 years of having my fender twin and using hundreds of pedals. Till I finally figured out that. The twin is a nice amp. I guess I just never wanted to play THAT clean. The originals don't bass fart and treble hurt you.

i have a sunn concert lead in the shop that as soon as it gets out is being traded for a ts-120b and traynor 4x10.

i probably won't use the 4x10.

anybody know if those old traynor 15" p.a. cabs would make for good bass cabs? perhaps if i removed the horn accessory?

Ah, I should tell the tale...

I ended up selling that to some guy on CL. He calls back to say that it sounds wonderful, "just like an old SVT". The week after that, I see it on CL again for $100. I also had a guy in New Jersey that insisted he had to have that very amp. I told him the shipping would probably be obscenely expensive. He wisened up (I guess) and never answered back. Whatever, I'm over it.

'57 tweed twin (wished I still had)
early 80's solid state Marshall 2x12
Vox AC100 with 2x12 cab
Vox V120 (this lasted about 3 weeks then exploded and burned)
Laney something combo. (I was desperate)

Acoustic T160 head (still have)

'62 Blonde Fender Twin (still have, the best looking amp ever made. in front room)

Switched to bass for a couple of years
Ampeg SVT with 8x10 (still have head)

Groove Tubes Trio preamp > Marshall EL100/100 power amp (still have GT Trio, an amazing preamp)

Traynor Bassmate 1x15 combo
70's Bassman 100 head (currently undergoing major surgery)

Current arrangement:
Hiwatt CP103 (reissue) Fender 4x12

60 amps, I'll call them an average price of maybe $700, that's like $40,000 worth of amps. Dang! That must take up a shitload of space, too, especially if you have any speaker cabs to go with all those heads.
