All these people who say it's expensive to have kids are full of shit. Dog food + peanut butter = mad protein, son.

For example I recently stopped segregating my cutlery. I just drop it all in and let them mingle. Fuck it.

This is the funniest thing I've ever read on this forum. It will become my signature, God-willing.

You see this? This is my honoured face.

I had actually been meaning to start a thread very similar to this just so I could share the joy of not being bound to the formal seperation of kitchen utensils.

All you guys in your 20's who bitch about getting older are a bunch of twats. I'm in my late 30's, still have all my hair with minimal gray and I'm getting laid more than I ever have.

Great post; it's good to see the perspective from so many angles. Having just turned 50 (!), I'll offer advice for the aging from my crazy (and youthful, having-a-grand-time-of-life, 60+ year old) neighbor Jim.

1. Never assume it's just a fart.
2. Never pass up a place to have a pee, even if you think you don't need it.
3. Never waste an erection.

I am not "older" yet (turning 23 in a week!), but (lack of) money is the bane of my existence. It is the root of all my depression, and I hope that with growing older, this goes away.

Around the age of twenty four I realised that not spending as much money is easier and more reliable than trying to earn more money.

I think after fifteen years I will perfect this technique and my troubles will be fucking over.

- Less of, but more meaningful relationships with friends and family.
- Better pay. I still live pretty much payday to payday but, It seems easier to do.
- The ability to get away with heaps more shit than I used to.
- Entertaining ideas of having my own family.
- Not being ID'd as much.
- Knowing what I really like to eat, watch, listen and care about.

seeing as how my 32nd is coming up in a couple of weeks i need to think on this more...

i remember just before turning 30 having this freak out about dying and if it was gonna be painful or scary and such...the end of consciousness and all of that...

i love being older though...i hated being in my 20's...you're constantly broke and relationships are a huge minefield...it seems for me that there's less bullshit...instead of game playing people are just more direct about what they want...

and yeah, i tend to hang around more 20-somethings than any other age range and it pisses me off when i hear one of them bitch about how old they feel...

fuck you 20-somethings, fuck you...

also, what everyone else has said so far is really great and on the mark...

really? this is one of the things that i found most difficult. i started to realise "from this point on people are gonna be a lot less patient with your quirks/fuckups & alot of your previously charming traits are gonna be seen differently as you get older." took some getting used to.

i like not having to care about actually answering any of the big questions & i like just being able to be grateful for making it into the show.
