They look like tiny mollusks with round shells, not even 1mm across, but they could be beetles. Tiny, brown-black immobile beetles stuck to all of the stems and ferny leaves, especially near the roots. They don't move, which is why I think they may be eggs.

I don't know if they are beneficial pests or if I should pull the plant and throw them to the concrete to dry and wither. They don't look like any aphid I've seen. Asparagus beetles perhaps, but not really because of the shape..

Ew. I hope they don't turn to larvae. I hate larvae. Caterpillars are my biggest phobia.
