Last week I took a few days off to wire the last patchbay for my studio at home and made some alterations to one of the other bays to add access to the 2 track inputs on my desk. It took, of course, way longer than I had anticipated, although I was breaking to watch Columbo, eat ridiculous amounts of cheese and that sort of thing.Music for patchbay wiring:William Eaton - Music By William EatonCorrupted - Se Hace Por Los Suenos AsesinosGrateful Dead - Anthem of the SunFreddie Hubbard - Open SesameHarvey Milk - My Love Is Higher Than Your Assessment Of What My Love Could BeJoakim Skogsberg - Jola RotaMagma - Mythes et Legendes III (DVD, although I didn't really watch it)Pullman - Turnstyles and JunkpilesMiles Davis - Birth of The CoolHammers of Misfortune - The BastardNeil Young and Crazy Horse - Live at the Fillmore Eastand a lot of Radio 4.Printed some new labels out for the patchbays. The spacing is a little off, again. I must work out why that's happening.Today, I drilled and punched a die cast box to make a kind of 'stagebox' to get access to the inputs of my mic amps without having messy cabling hanging out of the rack. I'm pretty pleased, it looks good, although somehow I am short of an XLR. Tomorrow I will start wiring it and drill the case for a bypass pedal I'm making for a friend.
Don't shun it. Fun it.
