At the risk of sounding like a sycophant, anything Steve records that I'm interested in I try to snag on vinyl. Dogs and The Blackened Air both sound phenomenal and I'm sure this recording will be no different.

that is, if you don't mind getting it shipped to you.

I've only gotten to hear about half of You Follow Me, but its definitely one of her best.

Reminds me of the weirdness of Run to Ruin but stripped down like Dogs.

The Seattle show in the main event of my fall social calendar.

Thanks. I actually wound up ordering it a few days ago from Parasol! I've not heard from them that it's out of stock so I assume it will be shipping out sometime soon.

I actually called Fat Cat to track down the vinyl. Seems they are having to import it from the UK and it will be about a month before it hits US stores.

I heard a song of her in Volvo commercial. I can't help about feeling a little disappointed about it.

I was mildly disappointed by Dogs and feared that I was more a fan of The Blackened Air than Nastasia hersself, but I'm happy to report that I picked up On Leaving in Louisville last weekend and I love it.

This makes perfect sense to me if you heard The Blackened Air first. It's a much more adventurous, original, country-ish album and like Tim said, Dogs is pretty straight. I think TBA is probably her best, but Dogs just does it for me.

The incredible Run to Ruin is next! I would suggest it before the Jim White album, though I couldn't really explain why.
