A moka pot, isn't it? That's what I want. I hope it'll work on a stove with electric burners.
It will
Yep, that's what we've used forever here on our cheap electric stove.

Might not work on an induction cooktop, but you'd know if you had one. They're incredibly expensive.

Pretty sure there are "moka" pots made from ferrous material out there...

Agree about Ethiopian coffee, it's great generally.

Agreed about Ethiopian coffee. Tanzanian is another old favorite.

Been going full ristretto lately. Should've done this a long time ago.

Ethiopian coffee is great. There are some Ethiopian coffee shops in the Seattle area.

My mom got an induction cooktop a few months ago. I use a normal Moka pot on it when I visit, just have to use an induction adapter underneath.

Probably going with this, for my non-induction electric stove:
Image

"Bialetti Venus 6-Cup Stainless Steel Induction-Capable Stovetop Espresso Maker"
(The more traditional-looking hexagonal moka pots all seem to be made of aluminum.)

Then I'm going to get some of this:

and Robert's your father's brother, as they say.

These people who claim to have "quit caffeine." I'd sorta like to know what they've put in its place. Warm water? Carrot juice? Smoothies? Mmm...no thanks.

We have been drinking Glassworks ESP as our house coffee for several years. Run by FM B.J.C. and his lovely wife. We're pretty simple with just a drip machine with a gold cone filter and it's constantly fantastic. Have maybe gone through 100 bags and had only one that was bunk. Their Midnight Sun cold brew blend is unreal for making a toddy (sip). It's hands-down our favourite coffee anywhere. We mix it up with a bit of Dark Matter beans (Schism is our go to) and their cold cans (chocolate city), and then I'll do a few rounds of Jittery Joe's (partial to the Widespread one in the blue can), but really, it's almost always glassworks. It shows up a day or two after it's roasted and just rules. get some.
