weird choice, as the intro is the same as hte chorus, only without lyrics...
i was just gonna say 'in the mouth a desert'. pretty classic.
some more:
big black - kerosene.
television - prove it.
gang of four - i found that essence rare.
u.x.b - we are normal
soft as snow - my bloody valentine (so cheesy... i like it.)

I can sort of see your point, but come on, that's what makes it great. It's brilliantly pompous. The song announces itself in regal fashion and you MUST rock to it.
"Repetition in the music, and we're never gonna lose it."

ooh-ooh-ooh I think of a good one!!
the intro to "Start With" by Seaweed,a lone jangly guitar scouting out the melody of the song. I hear this song maybe 1000 times? At least! And I hear this Jangly guitar and I still get chills, I get the bumps of a goose up/down my arms, this intro is beautiful!! Whole song is good too, but intro is beautiful!!

I haven't heard this past weekend's version, but reading about "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" today reminded me of how great that intro is.

Hi there my wanking friend.
GvsB is a band that has passed by my radar with only minimal impact, but what I've heard I've liked. How about a primer?
