In all honesty, the privacy setting was set a few months after I posted it here. I had a creepy incident recently with someone at a rock show who clearly knew things about me, my friends and my band but whom I did not know. I believe the information this person had came from a mutual association and not necessarily from Myspace. However, the experience weirded me out enough to not take chances.

Well, now I'm not going to add you as a friendster (I won't add people unless I know for a fact that they are smoking hot). I'm sorry, but this is the way it's gotta be.

I finally get to see who some of you are! I still feel like the noob around here since I'm not in Chicago and haven't been around long enough to get to know the old-schoolers both in Chi-town and abroad.

If it makes you feel any better, I thought I didn't have a myspace page, but it turns out I sort of do. I have no administrative access to it, but it's up there just the same.

Seriously, I can't imagine how it would be in anybody's interest to put up a myspace page for a band 10 years defunct that wasn't even shifting any units back then. I would assume that our old label(s) would have gotten some kind of permission first...It doesn't bother me too much, other than the fact that it looks for all intents and purposes like we did it.

It's that very reason that I'm on MySpace now. I stayed away for so long, but eventually came to the realization that every day I don't get "myspace.com/toomanyhelicopters" is just one more day it's up there for somebody else to get. And in your case, I'm assuming it's a friendly site. In my case, I would expect, if anything, an internet stalker troll type weirdo to get it. So I got it, just to prevent it from falling into someone else's hands. And then I got a bunch of friend requests, from actual friends who I would feel crummy saying no to.

Oh, and FWIW, this weekend while Tutku was poking around at the practice space, she found an old red gym bag with a T&G/Tar matchbook in it. Apparently it entitles her to purchase an EP from T&G, something? And also somebody's People's Gas bill from 1993 was in there. She was blown away. You don't need that stuff back, do you?
