Mogwai is head and shoulders better than most other post-rock bands. I don't suscribe to this theory that Slint is responsible for all music ever made since Spiderland.

Mogwai credit a lot of their sound to Slint so they are responsible for it in some ways. Mogwai did young team which has fear satan on. This is awesome, everything else is like that, but not as awesome. I only keep the best of the best stuff in my collection as I don't have the space otherwise so that is the keeper.

I've heard it as many times as I plan on hearing it and it's rubbish. No amount of (imagined?) musical complexity gives a recording inherent artistic value.

Tweez may or may not be more complex/convoluted than Spiderland, but it is less sophisticated. And less good.

My band has unknowingly covered all their songs at practice. At the end we just look at each other, shrug... and say, "Well, that was retarded."

For many years I went by the username "Tweez". Lots of people I speak to online still call me that.

When I read the word I recognise it as my name.
