It's a marching band set. That kick is a marching bass drum with spurs clamped to the rim.

Ah FML. Really really really really really bad timing w/ my ever-so-recent unemployment. Just bought an entire set of drums for 600 just to have the 24" kick or I'd be all over this. Fuck.

Yeah, but doesn't the wiring sweeten the sound as it ages? You should be storing these at cellar temperatures and releasing a new vintage every few years.
