I was an English teachers for two hours today (the regular teacher, my ex, is in Barcalona for the Primavera Festival. Yes, The Shellacs are playing there). I can't say it was easier than I thought, cause I had no idea how it's going to be, but the lessons went really good. Kids (one group of 10-ish and other of 12-ish) are not really that bad these days.


I also did 35 km (about 20 miles) on my bike today, going to the school and then on a little trip around the city.

And i FINALLY cleaned up the fretboard of my guitar. It was so dirty it was gross. I also installed new strings, which I bough a month ago, but the thought of cleaning the fretboard kept me from putting them on. And my God, the old strings were really old.

Now I'm listening to Dianogah and considering either drinking coffee or going to sleep.

edit: I also watched Kerble singing Whole Lotta Love, I downloaded the file but but forgot about it. Mind=Blowned! It was so great! Kerble could easily in Soundgarden.

In my office we have sort of double sized cubes which are probably about 10 feet across. There is an obese woman here who I just realized is officially too lazy to cross her cube in her rolling chair to staple things.

She has a stapler on both sides of her cube and uses each one depending on her location.

It's probably my favorite musical non-sequitur ever.

I was never sure if it was an old SFX record or actual birds, but I always loved it.

I have surgery on Monday, and tonight, it's started to dawn on me that this could be serious. I've had a lump in my throat for about nine months and it hasn't subsided. My pre-surgery consultation with a nurse revealed that the surgeon has decided to remove a tonsil - without actually informing me in the initial consultation. I *don't* have tonsilitis. It was meant to be a 'simple' biopsy under general anaesthetic but it appears to have mutated into something else.

The phrase 'shitting myself' would be an understatement.
