I'm still trying to resist buying a semi-hollow body. I mentioned my growing gear lust to my girlfriend last night. As she said "Oh - that sound lovely" I could see she was thinking "What! you haven't managed to buy me that engagement ring and you're talking about spending money on fucking guitars again!!!"

At this point I'm almost delusional enough to think she will love an ES355 as much as me.

I love this guitar. with 4+ days left, though, I don't think it'll stay that cheap. I never got the appeal of telecasters until I borrowed my buddy's tele custom, went out and bought one immediately. Great guitar.

*sigh*

That is one sexy telecaster.

i may or may not be keeping an eye on this one! pm me if i'm stepping on anyone's toes.

Anybody bidding on this? I have this but in a sunburst finish. I think they're great. This is a beautiful looking guitar.

I did really like Kerble. Don't listen to him! They are nice.

Ooow. I like that dark burst/rosewood slab much better then Black on Blonde. And tiny headstock is the only way to rock a tele unless your Steve Morse or something.

I don't even like in-line tuners. I prefer the over under style. It may be why I own no fenders, and only one of my guitars doesn't have over under tuners.

small fender headstocks: like cheap toys for kids.
kerble is right.

It's not the size that counts Kerble... It's the way you get it out and wiggle it at people watching you that counts.

oh, I know. I actually have the problem with the spacing. those tiny headstocks have the tuners so close that I always end up bumping one out of tune while I'm tuning the other. terrible design.

and then they have the nerve to often use notch top tuners instead of the ones with the hole going through the peg. stupid! terrible design.

I tell ya! It shouldn't be a chore to tune a guitar. the fun is in playing it.[/andy rooney]
kerble is right.

I've only played the '72 deluxe reissue tele so I can't speak to the original but the Fender strat isn't the guitar you should try to turn other guitars, especially better guitars, into. That headstock looks dumb, too. And, from my experience with playing the reissue, it doesn't do a damn thing for playability.

Humbucker for the bridge pup? Strat headstock? Adam's apple, testicles, and a penis? Whatever, man. It's your girlfriend.
