What did you tell him?!?!
That i'd think about it hahaha. Accutronics makes some real small tanks nowadays that one could (and some have) put into larger pedal enclosures. It wouldnt QUITE be the full 6G15 Reverb experience, or even the Surfybear analog of it, but one could get it done affordably and with a smaller footprint. If one (me) only had the time.

Anyway....give it a few weeks and i'm sure i'll build something.

Did it.

Its a prototype, i'll make a few proper ones up soon.
How does it sound???

We're in need of a budget bass amp that has plenty of power.
We have bass cabs already.

This thing is cheap as chips and has a rock-solid (of course) Peavey Pedigree.

Maybe add in a Rusty Box (or other preamp pedal)?

This thing looks boss and was previously owned by Whiplash (?) who were obviously also awesome.

Fun, cheap clunker or instant headache and regret?

As a user of this for a PA, it was fine, though probably needed the electronics cleaned. But do you want to lug around this giant fucking amp that has 5 extra channels you don't use? Isn't there a Crown somewhere that you can afford instead? You'll probably regret it after the first show.

If you aren't playing shows then I say go for it. Better to give the money so the guy selling it (who might spend it on crack) than one of the conglomerates that own all the amp companies now.
The wonderful thing about spending a little money on something you might not need is the amount of time wasted to get rid of it and ultimately, the amount of money wasted!

Anybody tried this thing? It's an incredibly simple concept, but opens up a lot of new sounds with your existing pedals. When I see somebody wanting to do something similar they just go to a dual amp set-up. I'm a little surprised I've not seen something like this before unless I'm totally out of touch.
