I watched “Cool Runnings” last night. I think I saw it in the theater back in young times. A feel good-er. RIP John Candy and whatever happened to Doug E. Doug? He is hilarious. He was the best part of that second Cosby sitcom.

I just watched Freaky Tales.
I dug it. A little too long, but I liked all of the stylized elements and pulpy storytelling. First chapter was the winner.
Also watched the Devo doc. +1

How much gore is there? Or specifically people getting their faces smashed in?
There is some.
I though Weapons was incredible, one of the most entertaining films I've seen in a while, and totally worth watching in a room with more people. I liked it much better than Barbarian, too.
Yeah, we just got back and I really liked it. Jump scares, mystery, weirdo shit, couple of giggles. A good mix of what you want out of that kind of movie.

The Square was pretty great if uneven and a bit choppy.
Zodiac is hella long and should've been much much darker.
Rewatched Anything for Jackson. Still spooky but something is lacking.

Love me some Claes Bang, and that banquet scene was legitimately disturbing.

Word! Elizabeth Moss's character got lucky.
and that banquet scene was legitimately disturbing.
Word! And speaking of Elizabeth Moss I was trying to connect the dots between her pet and that banquet scene. So random and odd.
Gonna give Force Majeure a viewing.

Caught Stealing is enjoyable but different from Aronofsky's steeze. The entire key situation was ridiculous imo but other than that a solid night at the movies. I wasn't aware that Liev Schreiber was in the cast and spent the entirety of the movie thinking that is one smoke show of a Hasidic drug kingpin.

Watched Minority Report for the first time. Was good. Long. Didn't know it was Señor Spielbergo til the credits rolled.

Watched all 3 of the Cartoon Saloon trilogy of animated movies based on Irish folklore - The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, and Wolfwalkers. Beautiful movies. Miyazaki-calibre. Cannot recommend enough if you have grade-school-aged kids.

I’m watching Beau is Afraid in instalments.
A bizarre film. Moments of absolute hilarity and chaos.
Is it a good film? I think we’ll never know.
