I got an Empress Germ Drive. It’s the fourth pedal I’ve bought from them. They’re a great company. The pedal was like $116 shipped here, new. I’d recommend it for indie rock/non-ultra heavy shit. At low gain setting it could work as a boost too.

Also had the pickups taken out of my Squier Tele and swapped in some Van Zandt True Vintage ones. More suitable for my tastes/purposes! Am tempted to re-re-record something . . . but . . . no time for music now.
ZzzZzzZzzz . . .

New Novel.

oh man bigtime. I plugged my Prophet Rev2 in, backed up all patches, loaded completely new banks and was playing in 15 minutes. I looked at my vintage gear with such disdain for the first time

Even with shipping total came out to $17.60! That’s probably a better deal than I’d even get at a…

I see what you did there. Two in one. Good job. Carry on.

Those extra tall K&M 210/21 stands I could never find for much less than $150 each - I took a gamble on a German music store that has them on sale for $64 or something. Even with the $40 shipping from the EU I paid about $150 for two of them.

I also got my M160 by ordering it at really low price from Germany. One day I am hoping to find a 441 for not much more than a few hundred dollars on German ebay somewhere.

Well, Texas.

I double checked the conversion and it was $187 for 2, assuming I don’t get hacked or shaken down for more money.

Well she unboxed the guitar yesterday (Squier Contemporary Jaguar HH) and I walked her through oiling the (parched) fretboard, restringing with 11s and intonation. Gave the truss rod a tweak for the higher gauge strings and it all fell into place easily. Neck is like a broken in Les Paul, satin roasted maple, 12" radius, beefy frets and pretty full in the hand. Immaculate fretwork and we dialed it in for low action easily. 24" scale and nice slotted tuners tick the boxes for me. I prefer a 7.25 radius but it played nicely nonetheless. Tune-o-matic bridge was a touch sloppy in the hardware but intonated well enough. I haven't had much chance to play it but the switching system is impressive, serial/parallel and single/bucker switches work well and make very audible differences. Some were very thick and drive-y and others passed for single coil clarity well. Quiert electronics otherwise; she likes the tone rolled off so I didn't hear it chime much! I will check back in when I have had some time with it. Very well made and accurate instrument which is very much its own thing. The single issue I found was that the control plate screws were put in at almost a 30 degree angle so didn't sit flush with the plate - can forgive that.
