He's a friend now but not in the day.

I looked up to his ass but he wasn't stoked on my scene AT ALL!!

Most of my neuroses can be attributed to my brother.

It's weird how you're supposed to forget some of the shit that brothers pulled at one time.

........how about those Seahawks, eh?........

same boat. as far as the older one goes.

i have two brothers. one younger, one older. both of them make me look bad. the younger moreso than the older, but still. two professional working guys and dirtbag musician.

i love them both dearly, but i wish they could walk around in my shoes before telling me what's what.

My brother is a strange guy.

He's 21, a mathematics student at U.T. He is a mathematical genius in that Good Will Hunting kind of way. I mean, he has a giant computation board in his room scrawled with signs and symbols I sure as hell never saw in Calculus. He has a free ride to college. He spent his summer working at a government agency doing weather logarithms or something. When he took me to go see his office there, they wouldn't give me security clearance. He's in MENSA.

He is goofy, but a very straight guy. He usually sorts out all the Kilpatrick family arguments and has for years. Very rational, doesn't do drugs or drink yet every Halloween, he gets loaded and hits 6th Street in a diaper, wings and a toy bow and arrow. Yes, Scotty is the 6'4" drunken 6th street cupid making people "fall in love." Considering that he looks so much like me, the pictures are both surreal and embarrassing.

When he was inducted into some U.T. genius club, he shows up for the group picture wearing stained cargo shorts, shaggy hair and his George Costanza t-shirt. Everyone else is wearing blazers and ties. The picture now hangs in one of U.T.'s older administration buildings.

He is a very generous brother and always gets me the coolest birthday presents. Last year, he sent me an old Big Black t-shirt. That brings me to another point: with the exception of Beck, he has great musical taste.

But now I'm in NY and can no longer hit the Salt Lick with him. This makes me very sad (we bond over BBQ).

Scotty Lasater Kilpatrick is NOT CRAP.

Connor
P.S. He also does a spot-on David Yow impersonation, particularly the singing on "Crazy Dan" (he likes to burst into it with "...and then he set the bitch on fire!").

I had two older brothers, but one died and so I am left with one.

The one who died had Down('s) Syndrome and a congenital heart defect; he died at the age of 27. Though 4 years my senior, there was a brief window when we were playmates and 'equals' before I necessarily took on an older brother role, monitoring him, etc. We shared a bunkbed until I was. . . maybe twelve?

Our whole family got an all expenses 'last wish foundation' trip to Disneyland at one point (a destination which my retarded brother chose to visit in some contrast to the rest of the family's idea of a good last wish). Then, as he did throughout his entire life, Patrick gave short shrift to his medical prognosis and trucked on for another 10 years. How it made us smile inside, the way Patrick took a non-profit charity for a ride.

Patrick was the only person in my life who I hugged/was hugged-by everytime I saw him. He is also likely the only person I would allow to hug me knowing full well that he was a rabid fan of professional hockey, professional wrestling, and Star Trek. He had a good excuse, with the Down Syndrome and all.

Beautiful man. Enjoyed slurpees.

My older brother is a cinematographer. He's very driven, very intense, very strong, and very hairy. And I couldn't have asked for a more supportive and accepting older brother. We aren't competitive, and that is how I like things with people that matter. We don't have issues.

He soloed Mount Assinaboine this spring. Crazy fucker:
