people on mars!

When I first looked at this picture I felt dizzy. These are strange times, when we're seeing photographs of the surface of other planets. I know it's happened before, but still it makes me dizzy. And humanoid remains? What the fuck?

spoot,

Can you post a link to the article that talks about these "humanoid remains"? I can't find it.

I've done some looking and I think there might be a translation error. Most of the articles refer to an "interesting" trail left by the airbags scraping the surface. They say it looks like mud, but it can't be mud because there's not enough moisture (or something). Also, parts of the airbags are obstructing one of the airlock doors. I think somewhere in there the remains of the robot (the satellite) got turned into a humanoid.

Try Google News for more details. Sorry to bring the discussion back down to earth, so to speak.

Still pretty amazing, though.

I'm slightly embarrased to not know the answer to this question, but didn't "we" do this Mars thing already? Or maybe this robot thingy is just now getting to Mars. I know....Google....

We did, but not with these super-high-definition panoramic images. And they didn't find Steve up there before, either.

Isn't this shit impressive? They're taking these 4 million megapixel photographs and sending them back to earth. It takes ten light-minutes to get from Mars to Earth! And this robot is there taking pictures and sending them down to us. Or up to us maybe. Technology is crazy. I know they all thought we'd be living up there by now but this is impressive enough for me.

We should spend less time and money taking scenic shots of crappy rocky plains and spend more on giant robots with circular heads. :x

Conspiracy theorists take note: there seems to be a part of the picture that is edited out (where the details don't quite line up). What are "they" hiding?

Duh...
