Yeah, I thought it would be fun. Plus I was thinking about offering all my White-Sox-loving friends odds on the White Sox winning the World Series. I figure it would be some easy cash. You know, taking advantage of their delusions, etc. Then I happened upon all those other futures bets, and thought they would be fun for people here to participate in without having to spend any money.
