I`m thinkin bout buyin a new condenser mic for vocals!! I`ll be recording a wide range of stuff from Audiosalve to Metallica to the Strokes! I`m looking for an average quality all round vocal mic to suit all my musical tastes! My budget is around €400 or about $500!!

Any suggestions?

a good mic is good regardless of the kind of music you are going to record.

A good large diaphragm condesner within that price range is an Audio Tehcinca 4050. But if you use the search function of this forum, you will find this answer on another post, among many other informative answers.

Interesting. I have little high end SR experience and don't know much about these mics. What else is it useful for, other than live vocals?
