second to being born without asking for it, i'll say the time i got in a fist fight with my father at fourteen.

When i found out my dad had throat cancer from smoking for 25 years.

He's still alive, but one operation later he's missing park of his jaw and tongue, so he talks funny now.

it's kind of stolen from a vonnegut book. his sister says something along the lines of "i never asked to be born anyway" as she's dying of cancer.

i've always found it funny. i just didn't want one of the many other depressives copping that line as a response to this thread. i wanted an actual incident.
