HELP:Audiovisual Contractors-Integrators - Chicago Area

1
I have some upcoming projects going out to bid in the Chicago (Mount Prospect) area.

Can anyone recommend quailified, reliable audiovisual systems contractors/systems integrators in the Chicago area?

Qualified bidders need at least 5 years in a/v systems integration with experience installing and programming video projectors, DSP based mixers, wireless systems, and control systems (AMX/Crestron).

I'm looking for alternatives to MCSi and ROSCOR Corp. - so don't bother listing them.

I certainly appreciate any suggestions....Thanks

from what i understand, MCSi is out of business...i know that they had a HUUUUUUGE auction about 5 months ago with all of their equipment up for sale...

i used to work for Baumiester Audio/Video in chicago...their website is http://www.bavi.net ... we did crestron, a/v, control, etc... they're pretty cool guys, all of them are indie rock types, we definately stood out from other contractors we would work with...

i would stay away from SPL in Rolling Meadows...they're a bunch of religious nuts and they wouldnt hire me, so they're obviously horrible pieces of shit.

Good riddence to those assholes! (no offence to anyone who might have worked there)

In my neck of the woods they were always trying to do an end-run-around the A/E on the project and would always try to approach the client head on to do a design/build (like that's in the client's best interest  ).

They'd also get pissed at architects I work with for not hiring them direct to do design/build work. Like there was ever a chance in hell that would happen. They were completely oblivious to why an architect or owner would want to hire a design consultant to bid out a project - they just couldn't get the idea through their skulls that there was value to someone objectivly representing the best interests of the client; rather than dealer margains......just stupid
