2Fast Cheap And Out Of Control = NOT CRAP
Mr. Death = NOT CRAP
Overall, NOT CRAP. Slight waffle factor for doing TV commercials. Very slight.

4Not crap....even the commercial work.... I have viewed about 50 of the 80 spots he has done to date and most have his extra special quality... he really shows up in his work.... great use of music as well in all his work.... especially Fast Cheap And Out Of Control.

6Funny you should post this.
I took a film class here at McGill University that was entirely devoted to Errol Morris.
Hes quite the film maker. Ive seen all of his movies, and I dont think he has a bad one (except for that one fiction one that he did, but even he admits that it was horrible).
I could talk for pages about him, but I wont bore you here. Offbeat interesting subjects that force us to closer examine ourselves etc etc. Its all great stuff.
Im happy that almost everything is finally out on DVD today. If you can find his TV show on DVD, thats pretty amazing too.
Inspiring Not Crap.

7Didn't The Thin Blue Line get a man off death row?
Also, he abondoned a philosophy ph.d. at Berkeley to be a filmmaker...
Also, he inspired Werner Herzog to eat a shoe in public (and Les Blank to document it)...
Also, he invented that 'interrotron' device, which makes an interview subject talk directly into the camera:

My roommate recently ordered the 3 DVD set of Morris's TV series, First Person. I think this is the best thing ever produced for American television. Some of the episodes are absolutely fucking great. Episode 4 of season 2 on Rick Rosner is my favourite thing made for TV, ever. Someone should write a dissertation on Rick Rosner and this episode. I'm tempted.
