You've probably heard of it, Rob Crow's side project: Goblin Cock.
Goblin Cock is:
Lord Phallus - guitar and voice
Bane Ass-Pounder - guitar
King Sith - bass
Braindeath - drums
Loki Sinjuggler - keyboards
Not crap.

Pinback.
the Goblin Cock record is going to have to warm up to me. It's not a metal record at all, despite the album art. It's basically a slower, slightly moodier Rob Crow solo album in disguise.. just lots of use of distorted guitar, and slower rhythms.
There were songs off his actual recent solo album My Room Is A Mess that were far more black metal than anything off the Goblin Cock release. Which doesn't mean the Cock album is bad.. just not what you might expect.

doesn't it contain member's of Sleeping People?
I've liked what i've heard so far, but i definitely agree on it being another Row Crow sounding like Rob Crow side-project. Not that's an inherently bad thing, it's just nothing particularly special... yet.
But i still listen to Heavy Vegetable.

Got to let the cat out of the bag, Manolo (heavy vegetable drummer)
came into the record store this week and played me the demo of the new project he, travis and rob crow are working on. Basically Heavy Vegetable
minus Elea.
It was very in the "kicking of the ass" vein.
Goblin Cock is not my thing. Pinback is a-ok.

I'm happy to hear that's following through... Travis, Manolo, and Rob have kept in touch for a long while.. it was just a matter of time.

I read something Rob wrote about this new Heavy Veggish band, and he said that he and TRavis had "swtiched places"....so are the songs written and sung by Travis in the new band? (The 3 or 4 Travis-sang songs in HV were quite awesome, by the way, so I'd be perfectly fine with this arragement).

The best thing about Goblin Cock is their album art.
Pinback wins!
