But...

How can it be called Don Cab without Iain... this is so confusing.

Whatever. Don Cab went way south after Mike Banfield left.

I'm excited.

I saw the "new" Don Cab twice last year when they toured. It was fucking excellent. The guys Che has playing really held their own.

Damon Che IS Don Caballero and you all fucking know it.

Everything Don Cab did after 'The Lucky Father Brown' was less interesting.

I gotta go with Ian T Williams as my favorite thing about the Cab. He is/was an amazing guitar player that has never gotten the credit he deserves from guitar geeks in general. He could do things that seemed impossible with his hands, and then repeat it perfectly as on the record. Not even a damn Volume Pedal! By Hand!

I was not so much into the first record, Despite the Steveness of it all, but only really started giving a damn about the time of 2. Saw them twice, once during '...Burns... and again right before the last record came out, which i admit was sort of a one trick pony, but i really dug the trick.

Is the new version melodically interesting, or is it all balls and chunk?

Both shows I saw were nothing but old material, focusing heavily on "2" and "What Burns..." (which is all I ever really liked, but I REALLY liked it.)

The performances were flawless.

I saw the "real" Don Cab (4 members) during the "...Burns..." tour and and the 3 piece for "American Don".

I honestly prefered the new line-up to either of the originals.

I trust your Opinion, so's i'm excited.

Favorite Memory of Don Cab, at the knitting Factory In NYC when the Che did this weird lil dance in his underpants at the foot of the stage. Eye to eye with his balls. Weird.

Second only to the bass player signing an autograph for some awful, annoying friggin' Prog kids who liked dream theatre and thought they got the whole Don Cab thing, standing right behind me at the front of the stage. They didn't know who the hell he was but demanded he sign some business card they had. I saw what he wrote.

All it said was : "I  Belle and Sebastian"

Just damn Funny. the kids were perplexed and had no idea what the fuck he was talking about.

That's awesome.

I talked to Che before the last show I attended and he was fucking hilarious. Very friendly and well-spoken.

During their last song, which I don't believe was intended to be their last song, he threw his drumsticks down and kicked his kit over. He stormed off of the stage screaming something. The other 3 just looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders and turned off their gear.

Che was sitting alone in the corner of the bar, on the floor, drinking vodka.
