Now people, I don't mean your favour band's best record. I mean your favourite recording. This isn't always the same thing.
Personally my favourite Electrical/Albini recordings are:
Down - The Jesus Lizard -even though I prefer Goat and Liar, Steve's recording is fantastic.
PJ Harvey - Rid of Me - it feels like you're in the room with the band.
I'd even say the job he did on the Page/Plant record sounded really nice as well.
Remember we're talking about the quality of the recording, not the songs themselves.

Mind you, those
orchestra hits were WAY too low in the mix.

Does he look that way because you just kicked him in the Wilsons?

Nope, he's just trying to hold in the RCA 77-DX he's just yoinked from EA towers.
"Take that Steve! Tell ME that orchestra hits are for pussies!? WTF?!"

The first one I really liked was "Let Me Be A Woman" by a band called Oxbow. I bought the record at a show in the mid nineties. Perfect show, helluva record.
The last one I really liked was the last Mono record.

My favorite Electrical recording (and one of my favorite recordings EVER) is June of 44's "Anahata", which was actually engineered by Mr. Bob Weston.
Favorite Steve recording? Easy: The Frames' "For the Birds" (also an all-time favorite).

Never heard them, a brief summary of what they do? I'll check them out if you can sell it.
