"just because you're my boss doesn't mean you necessarily have a better sense of aesthetics than i do, you know that, right?"

is that a bad thing to say to your boss? i'm not gonna say it until somebody gives me the green light. anybody?

I'm having a shit week...held over.

I'm working on a structured wiring project on an existing dorm building with no ceilings. The architect really doesn't want to see wires, conduit, cable tray, etc in the basement... cause it should be all homey-like for students - cause freshmen give a shit, right?

He doesn't buy the 'techhie look' so I've got to figure out how to hide all this shit behind walls, ductwork, etc...

...at least I won't have to install it.

I will say this:

If your boss cannot appreciate true aesthetic appeal, than he is not the right boss for you because the two of you are not compatible. Beyond this,
I think that if the job pays well enough you should not go bickering over something this subjective. The old catch 22. If, however, the pay is actually comparable to other similair positions, FUCK HIM! You will do what you want. The importance is placed squarely on your shoulders. How much? How little?
