Just thought I'd post here too for those of you who don't go into the General Discussion.
After much thought, I've decided to build my own Fender jazz bass. I've found a body on ebay for 170, and I've got the pickups and pickguard.
I need a neck, and the little things.. tuning pegs, bridge, etc.
Any good places online to find these things? I don't want an official Fender parts place; that seems like a waste of money.
Thanks alot!

Good Online Place To Buy Guitar Parts?
5For the little things, you might want to also check www.allparts.com
I just placed an order last night for some new brass saddles for my 60's R.I. Telecaster, and also a string tree/guide and trem arm for my girlfriends stratocaster that I am trying to bring back...
Good prices, and great selection. Everything from the name brand stuff down to generic copies.
As superbeater said, I would consider www.warmoth.com for the neck. I haven't personally purchased anything from them (been to the site a million times window shopping for parts for a million different "custom" guitars) but they are supposed to have amazing necks/build quality on all their stuff. Check out this page to see the necks:

Might cost a little more, but will surely last longer and play better than some of the cheapies you can find on eBay or some of the other parts sites.
