When I saw the trailer for this I almost shat. I had a Hulk complex when I was a kid. I had specially torn up trousers and shirt. My older brothers and their friends would call me Bruce when I was obviously being Hulk, just to wind me up that bit more and make me more Hulk-like.

I was there at the first showing of the first screening of Ang Lee's Hulk in England, along with about two other people, one of whom was filming it. I got SO much out of it. It was so right. So me. So me now. The father issues, the unresolved anger, the triggers later in life, the destruction.

There is nothing you can say or do that will ever make this film faulty in my eyes, no vote you could give that would ever convince me that this film is not brilliant.

I am Hulk. Not crap.

you are joking, right?
I cannot imagine any human being other than MAYBE a retarded 10 year old thinking that this was anything but a huge runny burrito turd of a movie.
Dude, crap.

I'm sorry but I thought that Hulk movie was downright awful. The pacing of the script was painfully drawn out for a film of its type and I thought the comic tile effects were cheesy. Compared to recent comic movie classics like Spiderman and Sin City this film was a pile of crap.

When Hulk's dad turned into The Absorbing Man i was stupefied. I thought Abi Arad and Stan Lee said all Marvel movies were going to stick as closely to the source material as possible? Not.

Oh, also the pacing of the movie was ridiculous and boring. I give Ang lee credit for taking chances with this one, though--approaching the Hulk as a heady movie about abuse is definitely true to the spirit of the comic (apparently Bruce Banner became the Hulk in the books because of his father's abuse, and it somehow explained why there were both green and grey Hulks), but the execution was flawed. Crap.

Nick Nolte is NOT CRAP

Those giant Hulk-dogs are NOT CRAP

Ang Lee is NOT CRAP

Those foam "Hulk-hands" toys are NOT CRAP

But the Hulk movie is CRAP.

I'd love to do that, but I don't want to be green.

Fun, popcorn movie. Lee certainly tried, but overall this a comic book film about a big green giant... what are people expecting an angry green Citizen Cane?
