Does anyone know if this song will blow out my speakers? I play my stereo at a volume where the rest of the album sounds normal and does not distort, but that loud part at the end always makes me nervous and i change the song. I would set my reproducer to reference level of 1 kHz, but i dont know how to do that.

You know they're not going to answer any shellac or related fanboy questions around here, right?
No, it won't damage your speakers.

i dont consider this a fanboy question.. that would be like 'hey, when are you going to play New Orleans'.
It was definitely a legitimate question i had about an album recorded at electrical audio. it doesnt matter who answers it, this place seemed like the best forum to get that task completed however.

We did the mastering for that record (and all of our records) at Abbey Road with two of their finest mastering engineers (either Steve Rooke or Nick Webb on the different albums). I'm quite certain that they would not master a record so that your speakers would blow under normal listening conditions.
