I was browsing an Oktava Mic Mod website when I came upon this quote:

"Chicago-based recording legend Steve Albini, highly regarded for the quality of his recordings, says of the MK-219: 'If I was just starting out, I’d be buying handfuls of them.'"

Until I read that I was not aware that Steve dug the Oktava MK-219 for beginner use. Have there been any articles or chats in which Steve has discussed/suggested budget gear for beginning engineers?
