I'm trying to buy a decent ghetto blaster (CD player/radio thing) but I have no idea what they are even called these days, much less where I might find out which ones actually sound good.
My (fruitless) efforts to find one have at least allowed me to browse some splendid Ebay items.
Here are a few of the [80s] best so far...

I think you can get some form of disco box and about 2 years ago I saw a reissue of the one with neon rims on the speakers. Do see some still avalable in the bronx and at the Fulton Mall.
But this guy has the collection and thease pictures are amazing and bring back the memories of buying 30 "D" cells to get to monday.

Yo!....Pimp up tha volume.
If you had something like this you could rent it out for film shoots. Like people do with vintage cars. Nothing shouts 1980's like a guy with his underware outside of his sweatpants carrying a getto blaster.

Just to clarify, I don't want a retro one. I want a regular one that has a radio and CD player.
It's for the kitchen.
I have an amp, CD player and some decent speakers that I was going to put on the wall but my wife won't let me. She says it'll make the kitchen look like a pub.
Perhaps she has a point.
I want something that sounds ok though, not a Makatatshitiki Sci-Fi Sound-Machinez from Tesco.

You should buy one of
these. There are some neat things you can do with mp3 files, etc.
