Has anyone received the first installment?
I received an email from Insound on February 7th stating that my order had shipped, but I've yet to receive anything. I've emailed them and, of course, have yet to hear back.
The email also stated that my credit card has been charged $17.99, but actually it was only charged $15. Hmmmm.....

2They sent out this email on February 8th:
It has come to our attention that there are some questions regarding the Subscription Series. As we will be handling the shipping of this item for the Matador site, we'd like to make the issues as clear as possible.
1.) If you're receiving this email, yes you have placed an order for the series and you will be shipped your copies.
2.) Yes the shipping is included on orders shipped in the U.S. Due to a processing error some orders were charged with the shipping fee included. If you have received an email confirmation that cites a charge larger than $15.00 the excess will be credited back to your card.
3.) Matador has limited the number of subscriptions to one per person. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. This was the label's decision. Only one copy will be shipped per order placed. Orders are not charged until they are processed. If you placed an order for multiple copies you will only be charged for one. The final charge will replace the pre-authorization placed on your card at the time of ordering. If you've only ordered one copy then you need not worry about this issue.
4.) Unfortunately the way our system is set up, when an order is processed an email is sent with a shipping date matching the day it is processed. We have had to process all orders earlier than the shipping date in order to ensure that the quantities sold match the quantity pressed. No subscriptions have shipped yet. These will start shipping mid-March.
I hope that this addresses some of the major issues concerning this item. If you have any questions or concerns not covered in this email please feel free to contact me.

3Interesting. Even though I only ordered one, I'm wondering why I didn't receive that email. As a hardcore pessimist, I will assume that the confusion has resulted in my order being dropped and that I will never receive that which is rightfully mine. I must go console myself with Coffee Emergency brand coffee and a cigarette. Nothing else will do.
So has anyone received the first installment? I'll feel much better if we all get equally stiffed.

4I'm not sure why you would not have received this email.
At the end of section four it says that it will not be shipping until mid-March.

I can't say I'm disappointed that I didn't jump on the oppertunity to subscribe before it sold out...
It's awesome and you know it.

And it's only 15 bones for all of it.

9Those wallets are pretty keen, but I don't see any place for my official Mission of Burma decoder (cock) ring.

Ok... maybe the wallet is cooler.
You asked for it, man.
When I was in grad school, I won a contest that Ryko conducted online where the prize was a gtr lesson from Roger Miller.
You had to say in 20 wds or less why you deserved one. I guess Roger Miller liked what I said.
I couldn't afford to fly to Boston, and he wasn't coming out to AZ. So I asked him (via e-mail) to write me a lesson in letter form.
He asked me a lot of stuff about what I wanted to learn from him, what I was trying to do w/my playing, etc.
He ended up writing me a somewhere-in-the-neighborhood-of-10-pgs letter, and mailing it to me.
Of course, I still have this thing. Haven't re-read it in a while. It is so great.
He ended it with (something like) this: "Never forget, dude, that Jimi Hendrix is the baddest mo-fo who ever lived."
Salut, Roger Miller.
