this post prob better suited for PSW but ther forums down.
speakers are rated @ 1 watt at 1 meter or 1 foot..., eather way that to me is there unity, anything over that is pushing it and any thing under that is not pushing it. so why have an amp that spitts out 1.21 jigawatts.
if your speaker puts out 96 db at one watt rms. you need to double the power to get 3db more gain in SPL. my Q. is how much dynamic room do you really need? seems like.........does anyone use low output speaks in there cabs with hi watt amps? as a live sound guy, i hate loud amps, they fuck shit up. they get louder than i want my PA. fucking rockers.
any comments aside from my spelling grammer and useless shit.

i know of a few dist/fuzz pedals that "strangle" lower wattage amps. using a higher powered amp with these pedals gives the option of having some volume behind the desired sound of said pedal.

there's one reason, anyway.
