Your Introduction to Music

This may have been done before. That dude Kerbuls will probably remember. If not, the subject refers to your earliest memory of "getting into" music.

Mine is my sister playing Prince and Duran Duran non-stop in her room. I remember being obsessed with Prince and listening to "If I Was Your Girlfriend" over and over. I also liked Thriller and recall asking my mom "How often do you think Michael Jackson takes a bath" (I hated taking baths), and she responded "Oh...probably everyday I think." I then started bathing everyday. I also tried to moonwalk on carpet.

Oh, also my dad playing fucking "Johnny Yuma" on a daily basis. Christ.
There are crispy fries waiting to come out of your oven: you just have to make them and put them there.

A friend of mine bought KISS Destroyer when we were in 2nd or 3rd grade. That's probably my first step into non-muppet-sesame street related music.

My Dad used to crank the Simon & Garfunkle all the time with a little bit of Roger Miller in the mix. We also had an Abba 8-track that got the crap played out of it at my house back in like 1980.

Kerbuls will deffinatley interject a thread with his Use The F'n Search Engine-ness. That's his job.

I on the underhand will respond. Karl Popma got a long playing copy of The Wall for Christmas one year and I think I listened to that maybe once. But Eric Stewart's mom used to play Simon and Garfunkels Greatest Hits in his house. I liked "...(if i could)" & "Cicelia". Later I learned that singing of the Cicelia at a drum circle was not appreciated. All I knew is that it fit.

My older sister had Cyndi Lauper's first album on tape that her friend gave her while I was in her presence. Jen also owned a copy of a UB40 tape that I used to get into trouble when I went into her room to play it.

Good topic.
Good Kerbuls!

I use to bring my John denver record in to first or second grade and Kiss was the cause d'celebrat. I'm thinking Love Gun for some reason. Nobody wanted to listen to Country Roads (Take Me Home) when Love Gun was in the room.

Fuckers used to cream me in dodgeball too.
