Easily the best film to feature a policeman masturbating in the street.

NOT CRAP.

Who's asking?

On a serious note, does anyone ever quote/reference the parts of this film that don't feature sex?

I haven't seen the film since 1995, but the final sequence of Keitel in his car from across the street has stayed in my mind. Street noise, curt dialogue, neatly underplayed.

Actually, on that note, have you seen "The Funeral"? There're some classic Chris Penn moments in it.

I've liked every Abel Ferrara film that I've seen, but have never felt compelled to watch them again, which is unusual for me. They feel like once-is-enough experiences for me.

Hell yes.

The Funeral was an overwhelmingly depressing experience. I loved it. But you're absolutely right about his films, they're not always experiences you wish to repeat.

Bad Leiutenant has, as far as I'm concerned, one of the best endings I've ever seen. I can't remember, but does it play out on a Schooly D number?

What a fuck-youing it was too!
