i second the bassman
i did have a peavey rock master once and managed to pull a good sound out of that (sometimes) too fiddely though, much like modern mesa amps. the bassman however, turn it on, turn it up, done. simply beautiful and beautifuly simple

I still like Marshalls. Some of them weren't great though.

Selmers of course. Still not tried a Vox amp...

Some of the Laney valve models sound nice, but they tend to use crap speakers.

I'm not a big fan of the Mesas. Too fuzzy, plus they make me thin of bands like Linkin Park which induces vomiting, and in some cases diarrhea.

Pretty much any Fender amp from the 50's/60's without a master volume - Schwing
Hiwatt DR103 - Grunt & schwing
Vox AC30 (Treble bias) - Brrrrrraaaaaang
Sovtek MIG50 - Brang, schwing & grunt

I've got a major fondness for Silvertone 1484's... and I love the sounds people get out of various Oranges.
