sure, everyone knows they turned beyond crap, but the first few stages of their career up through at least the mid/late 70s (i haven't had the priviledge of pinpointing exactly where they went bad yet...) is certainly some good stuff! and since their later stuff exists in a completely alien musical universe from me, i can conveniently ignore its existence...NOT CRAP!

I like them a great deal. Phedra, Rubicon, Atem, Green Desert. I think Poland Tangent ws the beginning of the end, though I could be very wrong. I like Poland though, it sounds like music to a hard-hitting 80s cop drama. not crap.

Tangerine Dream are hardly for everyone, but I like them. Check them out if you care about the origins of great ambient music.

I love the dream - and can't work out if I like them more, or less, than King Crimson. Some prog rules.
Anyone watched saxondale?

In my intro to weed days, I had Rubicon on one side of a tape, Discipline on the other.
I think I traveled farther than Rick Steves ever will.

I really like tangerine dream. I haven't heard their later stuff, so I can't comment, but Zeit, Stratosfear, Rubycon, Atem are great.
