Hello,

I just won a Beyer M111 off of ebay for 22 bucks. I figured what the hell the guys has lots of good feedback and guarantees that it works. Does anyone have any idea what type of mic this is? The auction calls it a "laviar" mic. I did a quick search on google and it brought up a live sound company that describes it as a snare mic. Beyer was no help...

lavalier mic's are generaly for public speaking..designed to be inconspicuous when pinned to your shirt! I would buy it for cheap, try it around the room.

this is a pdf-file from someone who apparently gathered all info he could find about beyer mics in one file. the 111 is mentioned there as well, only it's in french...
