I might sound crazy here, but let's give it a whirl.

This mixer, a Tascam M216, will not assign anything to the stereo buss unless it is first assigned to one of the four sub groups. Since there is no "L-R" assignment button on each channel, this makes logical sense. I've never encountered a mixer like this though.

Will someone confirm this is correct? I don't have the manual to do it for me.

I have owned a Tascam m-30, and I believe it was that way as well. Hard to remember...
