Cranius wrote:I heard this band on John Peel about seven or eight years ago and have never heard them since. The song was really repetitive and called something like 'I Like to Party'. It was so good that I made a point of remembering their name, but have never come across any of their records.
Not Crap, from my minimal exposure to them.
Anyone got any recommendations, please?
Is that the one that goes:
There's a puh-puh-puh-puh-party goin on
And there's some guh-guh-guh-guh-girls we wanna meet
And we're fuh-fuh-fuh-fuh-falling in love
With all the guh-guh-guh-guh-girls at the puh-puh-puh-puh-puh-puh-puh-party!
That one? That song is pretty funny.
I recommend the album "What Makes It Go".
I've come to the conclusion recently that doude from Komeda is very near the top of the heap for my favorite bass players. Great dancey groovy kinda stuff, and such nice tone!
Supposedly they started off as a band playing live to silent films or something like that. Hell, I dunno. But pick up the album "What Makes It Go". Great stuff! So out of character for the kinda music I'd normally get into, but frick, so great!
"The bastards have landed"
