Memorial Day Weekend

1
Me and my better half are going to be in Chicago from May 26th through May 29th and was wondering if any of you good folks could recommend something festive for us outsiders. Remember, I come from small town known as Louisville, KY so all this "Big City" nonsense sometimes scares me.

Seriously, any cool festivals or shows happening during this time? We're going to see the Cubs on the 28th but the rest of the weekend is open. We may also check out the Sunno)))/Boris show Friday, but other than that no plans.

What clubs/bars do you local knuckleheads like to frequent? Live venues? Restaurants?
Any of you fellow posters' bands playing and if so, where? Bonus points and a free HOT CARL if you play in a KISS cover band. Suggestions please.

Thanks again and GOD bless.

I would think with the Cubs losing so bad, it would be easier to get em, but apparently I was wrong. Foiled again.

Not only that but the bleachers are now the "Budwesiser Bleachers" or some such shit and cost $60. $60! $60 to sit in the sun and drink warm beer. They face the southwest so you know "bleachers" really means bleachers.

Fuck the Cubs, go Sox!
it's not the length, it's the gersch

Check out Chicago's Craigslist website... a friend of mine is coming into town in June, and wanted to go to the Cubs Vs Tigers game on father's day... they were selling for a small fortune on eBay since it's sold out. She found a pair in section 2xx (not bad!) for *face value*. Some guy sold them for face value. He said he has season tickets and doesn't like jacking up the price when he's selling ones on days he can't go. Wow! Actually, if you want, PM me and I can send you his email address. You can ask him... he might have spares for that day, who knows?
