a little help for a good dog?

as many of you know, diana and i are involved in a couple greyhound adoption groups which take retired racers and try to put them into homes. the biggest group in chicago is called greyhounds only, which does a great job of organizing dog owners and raising awareness of these very good dogs.

there's a two year old retired racer named val who's been diagnosed with epilepsy. his diagnosis and treatment costs have topped $3000, and this is going to be hard for the adoption group and foster family to cover.

if you can, please check out the greyhounds only site, and click on the "hound in need" button in the upper left corner. there's a paypal button on val's page, and any donations (even small ones) would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

My greyhound, Otis, is 6 this year. I treat him better than most people treat their children. My dalmation died last year and had seizures in his final weeks. I know what that is like.

By combining the two in one post you have been successful in choking me up. I am broke, but when I get paid from a project next week I am donating.
